| Naming Notes | 고생 is Korean for "hardship" or "suffering." I went through a lot of suffering attempting to find a phage, only to adopt a phage in the end... In addition, I felt that "Suffering" would be too blatant and boring of a name, so I decided to use the Korean terminology in Romanized form. I also feel from a Korean-American standpoint that the international community is often Western-dominated, and so I'd like to add a little Asian "pizzazz" to the mix. |
