Discovery Notes | Sample was collected in an area that experiences little to no foot traffic. It was exposed to sunlight on the top of the ridge. Train tracks were in the vicinity. |
Naming Notes | Our phage name refers to the term "hail mary" used in football, which means a pass in made in desperation, with only a slim chance of success and time running out on the clock. It was chosen because working with this phage was extremely difficult and felt like a hail mary during the entire journey. |
