Discovery NotesFound in Schenely Quadrangle in a flowerbed where several dying plants were located and and soil was soft enough to dig. Dug about 3 inches into the ground, 3 inches from the plant and collected about 1/2 cup of dirt from under 1-2 inches of snow. The temperature was about 20 degrees during the day and 10-15 at night. The soil was collected on January 9, 2016.
Naming NotesHolland is the name of the freshman residence hall at the University of Pittsburgh next to which the phage was found.
