Discovery Notes | The sample was collected on January 23, 2021, at around 11:30 AM in a flower bed at an apartment complex near Pennypack Woods. The weather that day was sunny but windy. The sample was collected after digging about 2cm deep into the soil. After conducting a PCR test for the D cluster, results suggest it is unlikely that Leopard is in the D cluster. |
Naming Notes | Leopard is the name of the phage because when purifying, the phage looked similar to a leopard print, and was a description I used in my lab notebook frequently. |
