Discovery NotesThis phage was found from a soil sample in the dirt surrounding the Hadley Farm parking lot. The Hadley Farm is owned by UMass Amherst, used for the animal science program, and is located in Hadley, MA (5 minutes away from UMass campus).
Naming NotesIt was a collaboration. Vivienne thought of the name Lil Pomegranate originating from her love of pomegranates and the word lil, but then Ianna said it needed to be cooler. Thus, the name LilPomG was born.
