Discovery NotesThis phage was derived from a soil sample taken behind Bentley Hall at Drexel University. The location of this soil sample is a heavily muddy because it is located at a slight hill decrease where there are sprinklers. The area is also very grassy. The soil sample was taken after digging about 6.35 cm down into the ground.
Naming NotesBoth Elizabeth and Ben are big fans of rap music and culture. Lil has become a popular prefix for many rappers in this decade. It inspired them to name their phage after something they love: music. In addition, Benjamin was the one who collected the original soil sample.
