Discovery NotesThe sample was taken from an open and grassy area. There was a small section where the grass had been upturned and began to compost; the soil within this section was dark, rich, and had a strong odor. The sample was taken about 1/2 inch from the surface. The location wad cloudy and shaded at the time of collection. It had not rained in the prior 24 hours. The sample was taken around the time of sunset. The air was remarkably humid.
Naming NotesThe name of the phage was inspired from the location it was collected from. The area of grass in which it was found is nicknamed “The USF Meadows”; hence the name ‘Meadow’.
