Discovery NotesEleanor Jarrell, Eliza Fowler
The sample was collected from the soil in my front yard. Surrounding the area it was collected from, is grass and other dirt. Additionally, the dirt was very close to a retaining wall made of large bricks. The dirt was very dry and somewhat difficult to collect, but I did not have any trouble filtering it.
Naming NotesWe chose to name our phage MissRuth because I found the dirt sample in the front yard of my house, and my roommates and I named our house Ruth.
