Discovery NotesThe soil, collected approximately 10 cm deep, came from a fertilized flower garden at the University of Cape Town's middle campus right after the garden was watered.

The soil was enriched with M. smegmatis for 24 hours to acquire plaques, and plaque plates were prepared via spotting and incubated for 48 hours.
Naming NotesThe phage is named after my late sister.

Plaque NotesThe initial plaques acquired from enriched soil filtrates, prior to the purification of phages, were round and clear in the middle with a turbid halo surrounding the clear zone.

After purification, there was a combination of turbid and clear round plaques on the dilution plates prepared. A 10^-4 plate with both turbid and clear plaques was used to sample the phages for sequencing.
