Discovery NotesThe soil that our phage was discovered from came from a grassy area near a pond. The soil was moist. The pond is near an apartment building and is a heavily trafficked area.
Naming NotesWe had an original name, "Pooks", which came from Sarah out of the blue, like word vomit. And no one else came up with anything so we were like, "Sounds good." However, the name "Pooks" was already in the database surprisingly, so Molly thought of Pangea, and that became the new phage name.
