Discovery Notes | This adopted phage was collected by a parking lot, on a strip of grass near a sidewalk. This portion of the grass had little to no coverage from sunlight, rain, etc. |
Naming Notes | Our first name was rejected by our professor due to it being too complicated and unpronounceable, so we had to give it a new name quickly. At the time, Ivy was watching a penguin documentary and decided to give the phage a penguin name. |
