Discovery NotesThis adopted phage was collected by a parking lot, on a strip of grass near a sidewalk. This portion of the grass had little to no coverage from sunlight, rain, etc.
Naming NotesOur first name was rejected by our professor due to it being too complicated and unpronounceable, so we had to give it a new name quickly. At the time, Ivy was watching a penguin documentary and decided to give the phage a penguin name.
