Discovery NotesSoutheast side of UMass Amherst Furcolo building. In the middle of a grass only field. There was no shade, so the soil was dry and hard, making it slightly hard to collect.
Naming NotesNamed after scientist Michael Faraday who studied electromagnetism and created the Faraday Cage. The "F" from Faraday was replaced with "Ph" from phage. Adding "Ph" to Faraday's "Cage" would create "Phage".
