Discovery NotesThe soil was very moist considering it was collected on the bank of a small lake. It has some debris in it including brush and small twigs from nearby trees. It also contains roots as it was collected near some sprouting plants. After reaching about 2in below the ground level, the soil began to have a clay-like resemblance, and it began to appear moister. Upon extraction of the soil sample, there appears to be a bit of water puddling at the extraction site. The soil is light brown in color. There were also some bugs in the soil and aquatic wildlife nearby, visible upon extraction.
