Discovery Notes | This sample was taken at 42.65904 degrees North, 71.13504 degrees West, in English, it was taken at 26 Summer Street in Andover, Massachusetts at 9:00 AM on September 26. The temperature was 64 degrees fahrenheit, humidity was 84% and it had rained the day prior to sampling. A mini-shovel designed for camping was used to remove any mulch where sampling occurred and stir up some of the dirt present under. The hole was roughly six inches below the barrier between dirt and mulch. A gloved hand grabbed a small fistful of dirt with an inverted sandwich back, the same way one would clean up after a dog. The bag was sealed until we underwent laboratory procedure an hour later. |

Plaque Notes | For Generation 2, there are 66 plaques along with no contaminations and appear to be entirely lytic cycle plaques. The chosen plaque from Generation 2 to be used in Generation 3, shown in Figure 4, is lytic and 0.3cm in diameter. The edges of this plaque are visible as it is in the middle of the plate and is far enough away from other plaques. The 10^-3 resulted in the most separate and distinct plaques Figure 2: Results of Generation 1 after following Protocol 4. |
