Discovery NotesSoil was taken near the edge of the campus pond on the UMass Amherst campus, right next to the water edge. The area was moist and slightly muddy due to being right next to the water. Soil was taken on the side of the campus pond that is closest to the Morill Science Building.
Naming NotesThe name Sardine comes from the name of a group member's pet dog.
