Discovery NotesThe sample was very moist, muddy, and rich in color, taken at a depth of approximately 1.2 cm. At the time of collection, the outside temperature was 68 °F, with dry weather, minimal recent rainfall, and humidity around 73% (daily high 75 °F, low 53 °F). The site was shaded under bleachers at 10 am, with no direct sunlight until after midday, and was a heavily walked area with clover and lawn grass present.
Naming NotesThe soil sample from which it was isolated resembled soft-serve ice cream in texture and appearance.
