Discovery Notes | Founded by Dakota Turner, Carolina Moreira Doyle and Morgan Mollen. I found my soil sample on a running/walking trail. This soil was already dug up and located near some falling trees. My sample was from the unpaved part of the trail but a few feet away there is grass and pavement. It was very dry and had multiple large pieces of tree bark and small rocks in it that I had to filter out by hand. |
Naming Notes | The phage was named Soma because I was studying for a neuroscience exam and I thought it was fitting. |
