Discovery NotesIt was found in a soy bean field in Frederic, Wisconsin. The soil was moist, dark, loose and sandy. Found ~90 feet away from the site that the phage Finch was discovered. The soil depth was 38.1 mm deep. It was collected on April 8, 2017. It was 65 degrees Fahrenheit, windy, slightly hazy, and sunny.
Naming NotesI named the phage Sommer because my extended family's name is Sommerfeld and since I found the phage on their farm, I chose to name it after them.
