Discovery NotesThis sample was taken next to a bush and the soil was almost frozen due to snow on top of it. The soil was next to a sidewalk and was relatively hard to dig.
Naming NotesOur phage name is Subtle. The name for this phage came from the small, tiny shape aspect of it. We almost didn't see the plaque on our plate, because it was subtle. This quality inspired our phage name.
