Discovery NotesSoil Collection Notes:
The mycobacteriophage soil sample was collected from a flower/shrub bed adjacent to an apartment complex during raining conditions at night. Soil sample was extracted 3cm into ground. The recorded air temperature at time of collection was 21.1 degrees Celsius with 86 percent humidity. Partial shaded conditions (45 to 50 percent out of 24hr time scale). Flower/shrub bed maintained annually containing annuals/perennials and small shrubs.

Naming NotesSyraba is a compilation of names from people dear to me, passed and alive. 'Sy' refers to my grandfather (MD), 'r' refers to my grandmother (RN), and 'aba' refers to my wife (SLP). Each of them have had a strong influence on my journey to becoming a scientist, making it appropriate to add them in this discovery.

Plaque NotesGenerally plaques were 4 mm in diameter. Characteristic with a 3 mm clear center and 1 mm very faint turbid radial ring. Occasionally, some plaques have exhibited larger diameters of about 5 mm and some smaller of about 2-3 mm. Each exhibiting the same characteristic plaque phenotype depicted in the general 4 mm plaques.
