Discovery NotesThe soil was initially dug up by a spoon. After 3 spoonfuls of dirt, the sample was dug up. The dirt collected was instantaneously distributed into the tube included in the testing kit to avoid contamination. This sample was collected at approximately 2:07 PM on 9/27/2022. Overall, the soil was wet as it was a very cold morning with a lot of moisture in the air. The sample was approximately 1 inch from the surface. The ambient temperature at that time was 71° Fahrenheit. The sample was collected 2 days before isolation, so it was stored in the freezer for approximately 30 hours before isolation.
Naming NotesNamed after the name of the student who discovered the phage and his cat.
