Discovery NotesI gathered my dirt sample a few feet from the bus stop by North Campus. I dug around 2 inches deep into the ground before grabbing my sample. Despite the rain drizzling, the texture of the sample was dry, it also contained some weeds and plant roots.
Naming NotesWhen looking at the phages, I noticed that they were very turbid with a dark center. To me, they reminded me of the dandelion plant so I named my phage Taraxacum, the Latin name of dandelion.
