Discovery NotesThe collection site was the flower bed that is underneath the "Cathedral of Learning" sign. All the soil was surrounded by a small stone closure keeping the round shape of the flower bed. The weather around the time of collection was rainy and cloudy. The temperature had been in the 40's which is high considering that soil was gathered in January. The soil sample was moist with no frozen pieces. There were some pieces of roots in the soil from the flowers that were planted in the summer.
Naming NotesThe name is latin for evasive since the phage took many trials to discover.
