Discovery NotesThe soil sample was taken from under a bush in a shaded area near a side walk. The soil was moist/damp and sample was 2.3 com deep. The temperature was 73°F.
Naming NotesThis phage is small in size. As a result, a lot on a appear on a single plate, which reminded me of stars in a sky that twinkle; thus the name Twinx.

Plaque NotesThe purified plaque morphology is turbid, round, and has a size from 1-2mm. When performing the streak assays, the size began at 3mm, 2mm, and 1mm. Also, the plaque appeared to be clear and round. However, after the 2nd and 3rd streaks the plaque sizes became consistently between 1 and 2mm and the appearance was turbid, and round. The most recent 10 fold dilution was performed on November 1, 2012. The plaque morphology produced was turbid, round, and 1 to 2 millimeters in size.
