Plaque Notes | Twixx phage has 2 morphologies. There were somewhat turbid plaques of about 1.5 to 2 mm in diameter. There were also very clear plaques of about 3 to 4 mm in diameter. It appears to be lysogenic. Spot tests where dilution levels were higher such as 10 to the minus one or 10 to the minus two resulted in spots with a halo around a light layer of bacteria in the center. Lower concentration spots were clearer. |
