Discovery NotesThe sample was collected between 4:35 pm and 5:03 pm next to the residence hall's sidewalk. Medium-length grass surrounded the collection site and a few tall trees were situated in a line next to it. The sample was collected after digging down 3/4 of an inch into the ground. The soil was moderately moist, but became very moist after the sprinkler system saturated the soil.
Naming NotesWaterboy is a 1998 sports-comedy film starring Adam Sandler. The name was fitting given the circumstances of the soil sample collection. About halfway through collection, the nearby sprinkler system activated, ensuring a moist and suitable environment for the phage but also making the collection process a bit difficult.

Plaque NotesPlaques are turbid with blurry edges, hinting that the phage emerges from the lysogenic cycle. Most plaques were small, with most plaques measuring below 2 mm in diameter, and morphology was inconsistent, even in later experiments such as full plate titers.
