Plaque NotesLucy produces small, clear, round plaques. Plaque size remained consistent during the isolation process. Lucy has a fairly low titer. Optimal growth occurs between room temperature and 30 degrees Celsius. Does not grow at 37 degrees Celsius. Growth occurred with 0, 22.5, and 50 mM CaCl2 top agar. Also, Lucy grows better with MgSO4 rather than CaCl2. The plaques were bigger, and more robust in the varying conditions of MgSO4. The MgSO4 concentrations used were: 5, 25, and 50 mM.
