Discovery NotesI chose to sample the soil from a patch that was rich in biodiversity. There were many plants and flowers around where I took my soil from, and the spot I sampled was regularly watered by campus staff. It was also from a spot where there is a lot of foot traffic, so I believed there was potential for the importation of phages and different bacteria from other areas as well.
Naming NotesI named my phage Fesuoy, which is my own name spelled backward. I don't have any particular reason for naming my phage Fesuoy, aside from the fact that I wanted a name personal to me that would be unlike that which anyone else would likely want to name their own phage.
