Discovery Notes | This phage was discovered in the soil from New Jersey. It was discovered through being enriched with Microbacterium. After being enriched with Microbacterium and becoming evident on the Luria Broth Agar plate as a bacteriophage, the phage was picked, replicated, diluted through a dilution series, picked through passaging, and a full plate infection was done on it. |
Naming Notes | The name of this phage came from the place and state it was discovered in. This phage was discovered in my backyard garden in New Jersey, which is often referred to as the "Garden State." |
