Discovery Notes | The sample was found in front of a residence building (Watson Hall) in a small patch of soil. The temperature was 35℉ and the sample was found 1 inch below surface. |
Naming Notes | We both enjoy Dungeons and Dragons and met during picking the phage in lab so we decided to reference a monster in the game. And also because this phage has two morphologies that occur during different concentrations. |
Sequencing Information | |
Sequencing Complete? | No |
Genome length (bp) | Unknown |
Character of genome ends | Unknown |
Fasta file available? | No |
Characterization | |
Cluster | Unclustered |

Annotating Institution | Unknown or unassigned |
Annotation Status | Not sequenced |
Plaque Notes | Morphology showed a cloudy appearance with a light halo surrounding them. The cloudiness likely indicated a temperate morphology being Lytic and Lysogenic cycle. Phage consistently showed different morphologies under different concentration despite being fully purified because halo is less obvious in more webbed plates and cloudiness varied. The plaques were generally a length of 1.2-1.3 millimeters. |
