Discovery NotesPAL was discovered under mulch outside a chiropractic office. The weather was 93*F and sunny.
PAL has a tendency to be a little "shy" and usually takes 48 hours for plaque formation. In high concentrations PAL does not complete lyse the host bacterium, instead there appears to be the formation of a few turbid plaques.
Naming NotesPAL is an acronym for Pickering ActiveLife. Pickerington being the city the phage was found in and ActiveLife being the name of the chiropractors office.
