Lysogeny NotesChaewon is a confirmed temperate bacteriophage. Mesas were found on a plate after 7 days of incubation. These colonies were isolated and purified and were able to create clearings when patched onto wild-type S. mirabilis lawns, confirming their identity as lysogens. The lysogens are also rather resistant to superinfection, by Chaewon and a panel of other streptomyces bacteriophages.
