Discovery Notes | Specimen was discovered near a tree by the Seed Sprout Spoon, located in St. Louis, MO. |
Naming Notes | The name is inspired by the constellation Circinus and the plaque's stellar shape. Circinus means "the compass" from its translation from Latin. All of our previous samples proved to be difficult in cultivating phage growth until this sample gave us a sense of direction through its successful plaque growth. |
