Discovery NotesCollected from a creek/stream running from the Mason Pond, next to the Mason Pond Parking Deck. The collection was a few mm deep in the soil. The water was shallow with only a few cm flowing; there was some rain the day before. The soil was filled with organic matter (roots) with some large rocks, but they were removed. The collection was conducted at 0845.
Naming NotesNamed after one of my favorite characters in The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. Makar is the best :)

Plaque NotesThe plaques were observed in both the gordonia and smegmatis plates. The work was conducted with gordonia. The isolated plaques were small and slightly turbid.
