| Discovery Notes | After my three rounds of soil I was unable to isolate my own phage, so I adopted from a classmate, Gabe Han. He collected his sample that yielded this phage from the Rose Garden near USC. The soil sample was brown, crusty, and slightly damp, and yielded phage after an enriched isolation. |
| Naming Notes | Named after the song Midnight Rain by Taylor Swift, one of my favorite songs, and the fact that phage plaque are reminiscent of raindrops. |
