| From enriched soil sample? | No |
| Isolation Temperature | 13°C |
| GPS Coordinates | 39.342948 N, 76.479588 W Map |
| Discovery Notes | Date/Time of Collection: 09/20/23, 12:30 AM
Depth: Approximately 2 inches below the surface
Ambient humidity: 86%
Hydration: The soil was slightly damp, most likely because dew was forming on the grass (the actual temperature was close to the dew point).
Amount of organic matter: Minimal organic matter, clay-like soil texture.
General surroundings: Soil was taken from the ground beside a cherry tree. |
| Naming Notes | SeresaTree is so named because it was collected from the ground beside a cherry tree. We also found success with a different phage (not studied) near a cherry tree in a different location. Therefore, we decided to pay homage to the trees near which our isolations succeeded. |
