Discovery NotesDiscovered in the FGCU Food Forest. Found about 2 inches below mulch and dead vegetation, soil was somewhat moist. Soil was shaken in PYCa media (with no G. terrae) for a few hours and then shook for about 48 hours in G. terrae treated with 0.08 μm ciprofloxacin. The sample went through multiple rounds of ciprofloxacin selection. Ultimately, the ciprofloxacin concentration was raised to 0.2 μm and the phage was found to actively grow in the static G. terrae at this concentration.
Naming NotesAn Clár (Clare) is a county in Ireland where my family is from.
