Discovery Notes | This phage was discovered from a soil sample collected approximately 6 inches from where a decaying rabbit lay. This spot was chosen because it appeared interesting. |
Naming Notes | We decided as a team to name our phage after the words for rabbit in our native languages of Tagalog and Spanish. We did this in order to make a reference to the discovery location. Unsurprisingly to us, the word for rabbit in both languages is pronounced the same but with spelling differences. |
