Discovery NotesThis phage was discovered from a soil sample collected approximately 6 inches from where a decaying rabbit lay. This spot was chosen because it appeared interesting.
Naming NotesWe decided as a team to name our phage after the words for rabbit in our native languages of Tagalog and Spanish. We did this in order to make a reference to the discovery location. Unsurprisingly to us, the word for rabbit in both languages is pronounced the same but with spelling differences.
