Discovery Notes | Phage isolation was performed by Team Host Busters: Kailee Furtado, Rose Jarjoura, Neerja Vashist, and Larissa Wong. The phage was isolated by direct plating of nasal microcomedones obtained by a Biore pore strip from the nose of Rose Jarjoura. Naming Notes | Team initially wanted to name it Blackhole, but it was taken. To satisfy their passion in astronomy, the team named it Supernova instead. |
