| Discovery Notes | The soil was collected from a regular composting site on the morning of September 9th, 2022. The temperature was 65 degrees Fahrenheit and the weather was cloudy, having rained recently. Its texture was partially sandy, consisting mostly of organic matter, and it was damp. The sample was taken within an inch of the surface. |
| Naming Notes | I received a positive result from my spot test a week after collection, which so happened to be on my birthday! This sample was my third try at isolating a phage, so I was hopeful that it would be the charm. I was so thankful that a sample finally gave a positive. It was the universe's birthday present to me! |
