| Discovery Notes | The soil sample was collected from outside of a dorm building on the campus of Nova Southeastern University. It had rained the night before so the soil was more wet than dry, despite me digging down about 4 inches. The weather was warm at the time, about 30 degrees celsius. There are known to be muscovy ducks, iguanas, and cats nearby, making it prime for many types of viruses. |
