Discovery NotesSoil sample was isolated from compost soil. It underwent two rounds of purification before beginning web lysis process.

Phage measurements:
Capsid diameter = 60-70 nm
Tail length = 150-200 nm
Naming NotesThe bacterial host was Rhodococcus globerulus; the phage lyses the bacteria, so it is a "lyser" or "lysa" of "Rhoda", hence "Rhoda""lyser", or "Rhodalysa". I also liked how this name can be pronounced "rhoda-LEE-sah", so it rhymes with Mona Lisa.
