Discovery Notes | Soil was dry and dusty on surface, slighlty below soil surface contained slightly dry soil with larger clumps. Soil still mostly dry, light to medium brown in coloration, very few debris in sample. Sample taken from the bottom of a large deciduous tree. Temperature on 9/4 when sample was taken was around 82 degrees fahrenheit. Humidity that day was between 65% to 75%. Soil sample was processed on 9/19. |
Naming Notes | As the phage was found from a soil sample from Golansville, VA, we decided to stick with a name that started with a "G" and "V", resulting in "GoblinVoyage". |

Plaque Notes | On Streptomyces scabiei and Streptomyces mirabilis, plaques were between 0.5 and 3mm in diameter. S. scabiei plaques were turbid and S. mirabilis plaques were clear. Both had clean margins. |
