Discovery NotesThis phage was discovered by Amy LaDue and adopted by Josephine McLean who worked with it from the purification step onwards. It was found from a soil sample collected at 7pm on 10/01/23 under pine trees off the side of the interstate under trash. General description: park, middle of town, Churchich Park. Soil depth was 5-7 inches, it was 88°F, and there was no sun and it was not humid.
Naming NotesThis phage is named after the Metro's Fort Omaha campus since my class was the first class to participate in the SEA Phages program at this location. "Cran" is made up of the initials from mine and Amy's pets. C-Cinder (my dog), R-Roxie (Amy's dog), and A and N for Athena and Nala (my beloved rotund cats).
