Discovery NotesThe soil sample was found in a grassy area near trees in between Myers and Millenium Halls at Drexel University. The sample was collected on October 2, 2019 at 10:30 A.M. from a depth of 3 centimeters.
Naming NotesWe chose to name our phage Phedro because it is a variation of the name Pedro. Pedro is derived from the Latin word "petra" meaning rock. Since this is our first college biology lab of many more to come, we considered this phage to be our a rock or foundation in our education.
