From enriched soil sample?No
Isolation Temperature33°C
GPS Coordinates28.94 N, 82.42 W Map
Discovery NotesSoil Sample taken from underneath a pile of horse manure in an area of high biodiversity in plants and fungi. Soil was in a hot, dry, and dark location.
Naming NotesI named the phage after the triple crown winner, Secretariat. He is known as one of the greatest racing horses in history due to his above average speed. My phage reproduced at a fast rate and had an extremely high titer. I also found the phage under a pile of horse manure at the local horse stables.
