Discovery Notes | Barb was found in soil under yellow zinnias in late September. The soil was dark and moist. It was moist likely a combination of regular soil and common potting soil. |
Naming Notes | This name was an inside joke between me and my roommate. We both are fans of the show "Stranger Things" in which a character named Barb dies. On the show, her death is brushed off, and, because of that, fans everywhere adopted the saying "Justice for Barb." So, this is Barb's justice. |

Lysogeny Notes | I believe that Barb is a lytic phage due to the crisp, clear plaques produced and the quickness of those plaques to produce. |

Plaque Notes | The plaques changed with the quality of bacteria that was used, and they ranged in size from 2mm-4mm in diameter. The plaques were clear and had crisp edges. Each dilution would result in similar plaques, but it was the different dilutions that would result in different sized plaques. |
