| Discovery Notes | On 1/10 the weather forecast said a high of 50 and a low of 25. It was lightly raining at 12:20pm when I walked to Phipps Conservatory, a public garden in Pittsburgh PA. I collected a soil sample from the walkway leading into the Conservatory. The GPS coordinates of the location were 40.439423 degrees North and 79.947033 degrees West. The soil was covered in mulch and very hard. I believe it was still slightly frozen from the day before which had a high of 29 and a low of 7. The soil sample was kept in my backpack until 4:30pm lab. |
