Discovery Notes | Found in the soil by a mint bush on 08/27/24 by Megan Allgood. Temperature was 11 degrees Celsius. The soil was moist and there was very little grass collected with the sample. The phage was isolated, purified, and analyzed by Brooke Wheeler. |
Naming Notes | Because the soil was collected under a mint bush, the phage was named "Mentos" after the minty candy. |
