| Naming Notes | This phage was named Delphidian as a combination of the words Delphinus and ophidian, as a homage to the constellations Delphinus (dolphin) and Ophiuchus (snake catcher). Since the phage produced plaques that, if connected, looked like a constellation, this name seemed fitting. |
